I'm married to the beautiful Bridget and father to four fantastic kiddos. We plant churches and live in a fifth-wheel camper. I write and smoke a pipe whenever I get the chance. Currently camped in Austin, TX.
“If you could kick the person in the pants responsible for most of your trouble, you wouldn’t sit for a month.” – Theodore Roosevelt
Sitting is a posture of rest. If we’re having trouble resting in the Lord, then we can examine our recent choices. Our choices play a major role in our spiritual life. We can choose to believe God or the deceiver. We can choose to abide in the Vine or go our own way. Christ chose to obey the will of His Father. If we are now in Christ, then His obedient spirit is now in us. We can now choose to live by His Life. And when we do, we can sit and rest in Him without ever having to worry about who’s getting kicked.
