I'm married to the beautiful Bridget and father to four fantastic kiddos. We plant churches and live in a fifth-wheel camper. I write and smoke a pipe whenever I get the chance. Currently camped in Austin, TX.
My life is not my own. It hasn’t been for quite some time now, but I’ve only begun to appreciate that reality over the past half-dozen years or so. In other words, I have been crucified with Christ, and I realize that more and more every day. Lemme ‘splain. No, there is too much. Lemme sum up.
I married Bridget in March 1998. Since then, we’ve had four kiddos, lived in ten cities across five states, been on staff at four different churches, and stopped going to church altogether in February 2009. That’s when things got real. Really real.
In September 2010, we moved from Oklahoma to Florida to be a part of a group of people learning to live by the indwelling life of Christ together. Ruined for life, we heeded the call of the Lord to venture out into the wilderness and leave behind our safe, loving land that had become those beautiful saints in Florida. So, in April 2014, we packed the family into a tiny travel trailer and moved across the country to California to see and learn the Lord more with other beautiful saints.
After spending 16 months with these church workers, the Lord sent us out to do the work of the church: establishing Heavenly colonies on Earth. We are about to embark on an exciting and dangerous adventure in the heart of Texas with some other lovely saints, and we would certainly covet your prayers.
While I do not consider myself an expert in any field, I do have experience in several. This blog is simply to share some of that experience. I enjoy things like smoking a pipe, Doctor Who, and seeing and talking about Jesus, so those will be a lot of what I will share.
I also blog on Christ and His Church more extensively with other saints over at 3rdRace.org. If you’re on a journey of faith that has you asking a lot of questions about the church and the Lord, then I invite to check out that blog.
Also, I invite you to ask me questions. I know that when we were searching with questions, answers were hard to find. I can’t guarantee anything, but maybe I can help. Just fill out the form on the contact page. I’m also happy to answer questions about lunting and the other things you find around here.
