I'm married to the beautiful Bridget and father to four fantastic kiddos. We plant churches and live in a fifth-wheel camper. I write and smoke a pipe whenever I get the chance. Currently camped in Austin, TX.
Bilbo Baggins was a very respectable hobbit, not only because he was rich, but also because he never had any adventures or did anything unexpected. Then one day Gandalf appeared, and tales and adventures sprouted up all over the place wherever he went, in the most extraordinary fashion. After an unexpected party, Bilbo had an adventure, and found himself doing and saying things altogether unexpected. He may have lost the neighbours’ respect, but what he gained in the end was worth so much more.
